Originally permanently employed some years ago now, the company was born out of a desire to take our own direction and to provide first class services to our customers.

Stoke Computer Services Ltd has been operating for 12 years now, formed in April 2009, after the founder decided that he needed to take his own direction. It was at this point the company was officially created. Having contracted for 3 of the big names in business (Symantec, Microsoft, Siemens) we have a wealth of experience to offer our clients. Clients can be assured of excellence in RDBMS and software support, SQL Server is our primary RDBMS skill. We also have expert skills in private and public cloud environments (AWS and Azure). We are currently AWS Cloud Practitioner certified and working towards AWS Solutions Architect certification.

The company prides itself on its skills within SQL Server especially clustered environments. With a core infrastructure skill set, essential to cluster management, and highly skilled in virtualised environments using VMWare and Microsoft hypervisors you are assured of a very professional service.

The Technical area of this site offers various technical articles including details of how to build a virtualised SQL Server cluster environment using Windows 2003 or 2008 MSCS.

Director Info

The founder Perry, decided to contract and build a wealth of experience within varying organisations. This knowledge would then be used to help other clients make the most of their IT systems. One area that became of interest was Virtualisation, and back in 2005 Perry seized the opportunity to grow extra skills in the VMWare ESX\Virtual Infrastructure arena.

Hypervisor technology is becoming ever more popular and increasing in demand. Reducing carbon emmissions is now a prime objective for most organisations. The power savings to be made in datacentres makes the virtualisation investment an extremely attractive move.
